Wellbeing Opportunities

Brigham Social Club

Are you a social butterfly with lots of fun event ideas? Are you excited to get to know your classmates and colleagues outside of the operating room? If so, The Brigham Social Club is the place for YOU!

The Brigham Social Club is a group of Brigham Anesthesia members committed to building community and supporting wellbeing. The BSC is open to all members of the department. We host monthly events, such as Apple Picking, Lunar New Year Lunch, Trivia Night, and the annual Ski Trip. Commitment is minimal– just four virtual meetings per year! Email Director of Departmental Engagement and the Chair of the Brigham Social Club Cathleen McKeating to sign up.

Peer Support

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital Peer Support Program was created to support clinicians and other Brigham faculty. Trained peers reach out to impacted colleagues – due to an unexpected clinical outcome, personal loss or other stressors – offering a listening ear and the comfort of speaking with someone who has “been there.” The program is one tool to help mitigate isolation while fostering a culture of support and trust.

MGB Faculty Parental Wellness Program
The MGB Faculty Parental Wellness Program is recruiting experienced parents to serve as mentors, provide guidance, and offer practical strategies on navigating new parenthood, including parental leave and the transition back to work. These experienced parents make up the Parental Wellness Advocate (PWA) roster, and we’re recruiting faculty of any gender who have had children in the last 5 years.
